Driven by a life-long love of working with fiber, my work evolved from making garments at age 8 to quilt
making starting about 15 years ago. I soon left traditional quilting constraints behind and began exploring
more contemporary construction and design concepts

Inspiration for my work often comes from my experiences living in the Middle East most of my adult life or
my love of music.  Many are made with free cut curves and either machine pieced or raw edge appliqué.
Adding  more color and texture with threads and free motion machine quilting is my favorite step.

I enjoy making my own fabrics through different hand-dyeing or painting techniques and printing photos or
photo manipulations directly onto fabric.
